What is an escape room?
Escape rooms are mini adventures, usually lasting 60 minutes, set in lifelike sets where you and your team of players must take part in an immersive story and work together to discover clues, solve puzzles, complete challenges, and work against the clock to complete the game and emerge triumphant from the room. When each element is solved, you’ll get a key, code or clue that will help you solve the next one.
How do I book?
Reservations can be made through our website. Just choose the game you want to take part in and click the button that says “book this room”. If you’d prefer to speak to someone and book over the phone, call 07756 530651.
Can I book any day I want?
If you’d like to place a booking on a day we aren’t open, we can still accommodate you! Just contact us using the contact page or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The slot I want appears unavailable, is there any way I can get it?
If the time you want to book looks unavailable, we might STILL have a space! To find out, please call us on 07756 530651 or email email@example.com.
What are the opening times?
We usually operate five games a day at the following times: Monday to Friday from 11am to 10pm; Saturday & Sunday from 10am to 10pm
If you’re curious about enjoying a game outside of these times, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07756 530651.
Is there wheelchair access? How accessible are the rooms?
Accessibility varies across our games, we do have a lift and accessible toilet facilities. Please note that you will need to have someone with you to assist you for any clues at heights. Please email email@example.com or call 07756 530651 if you would like to have a look at one of the rooms.
Do I need to be physically fit?
Nope, none of our puzzles involve physical challenges, but one player needs to kneel down in the Prison Break game.
Can I play if I am pregnant?
You can! The environment is perfectly safe to play in if you’re pregnant.
I suffer from epilepsy, will this be an issue?
There is a small amount of strobe lighting, but it can easily be switched off with no effect on the experience. Please let us know before or on the day of your booking if you need this done – it’s not a problem.
I suffer from claustrophobia, will this be an issue?
You will not be locked in and you’ll be free to leave at any time. If you’re still unsure then please get in touch – you’re very welcome to come and have a look at the game area in advance.
Who is the game suitable for?
Our escape rooms are suitable for everyone. We have families, friends, young or old, work teams, stag do’s, hen parties, and everyone in between. You can rest assured, the games can be enjoyed by all.
What is the minimum age to participate?
You can participate with adult supervision from 10 years old and from 16 without an adult. If you have younger children, you might want to book them in at the on-site creche, where your youngster will enjoy playtime with Ashleigh, while you enjoy quality time with your older children. If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to call us on 07756 530651.
Can I add or remove players in my team?
As long as your team remains between 2 and 6 players (4 and 6 on weekends), you can add or remove players. Please note: all participants must be paid for prior to beginning your game.
What if our group has more than 6 people?
Our games usually accommodate teams of up to 6 players, but can go up to 8 at your own risk (it will be cramped). If you have 7 or more, we recommend you book multiple games. Our start times are normally staggered but we can arrange to start them all at the same time for a large group. To discuss your options, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07756 530651.
I’m interested in an escape room party, do you do this?
If you want to hold a larger party, please contact us to discuss the options available. Email email@example.com or call 07756 530651.
Each of our games is designed for up to 6 players, but you can book multiple games to accommodate larger groups. It’s also possible to arrange private spaces and pre-order food in advance.
We have a creche on-site in the building and we can offer bespoke packages for guests with children over 10 years old.
Will we be playing with other groups as well?
No, each room is limited to one group at a time.
How long does the game last?
Each experience usually lasts between 60 and 80 minutes, but how long it takes to complete the room is totally up to you and your team. There is a 5 minute brief at the start, up to 60 minutes of gameplay time within the room itself, and a short 5 minute debrief and photo opportunity at the end.
What if I get stuck on a puzzle?
Your Games Master will be monitoring your progress and are ready to give helpful hints and clues if you ever need them.
What do I need to bring with me?
Just your team mates and your brain! Everything else is in the room.
What clothing should I wear?
Please wear comfortable, casual clothing and flat shoes.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 10 minutes early for a quick tutorial and introduction. Just head down to the basement where you will be welcomed at reception. If you arrive earlier than this, you can enjoy food & drinks at any of the bars and restaurants in town while you wait. All instructions will be sent to you upon confirmation of your booking. Please try not to be late as all our bookings are on a timed schedule.
What is your cancellation policy?
Re-booking an empty slot at short notice is tough! For this reason, like a theatre or concert ticket, we do not offer refunds for cancelled bookings. No-shows are also non-refundable.
Do you have lockers?
We do. You will be unable to take phones, bags or coats into the rooms, so you will be provided with a locker for these items at reception.
Can I drink alcohol whilst playing the game?
Yes. Puzzalogical escape rooms are situated near the town centre that has a pub and restaurants.
Please note: We want you to have fun, but we do have a very strict policy when it comes to inebriated participants and recommend doing most of your drinking after, rather than before or during the game. If we suspect anyone has had too much to drink, we will ask them to leave the room. Your minds will need to be at their sharpest if you want to succeed!
